Show Success
Due to bio-security concerns surrounding halter shows, we made the decision to only enter fleece shows in 2010 and 2011 where the risk of disease transmission is zero. Since then however, with improved, and now very good bio-security controls in place, we have commenced halter showing. The alpaca is bred for fleece production so it is essential to continue to concentrate on improving fleece quality and quantity. Competing at fleece shows, or halter events, is one effective means to assess how your herd breeding programme is progressing, judged in an independent environment against fellow breeders - it can also be great fun!

Willowbrook Inferno |
Description: |
Willowbrook Alpacas Inferno is a truly exceptional solid dark fawn macho. He is true to type, and stands on a very correct frame, with a deep broad chest and strong bone structure. With an enviable and proven pedigree, his sire is the Supreme Champion ‘Valley Alpacas The Diplomat’, and his dam is ‘Willowbrook Truffle’; a Brown Colour Champion and daughter of ‘Snowmass Sizlin Hot’. Inferno really is an outstanding male. His fleece is not only incredibly dense, but it is also fine, and exhibits uniformity in both colour and character. It is well organised, and aligned into bright, tightly crimped staples. The icing on the cake is that Inferno has the most delightful nature. He is full of personality, and his lovely temperament makes him an absolute charm! |

Daughter of the illustrious Snowmass male Sizlin Hot, and our own multi Champion black female Willowbrook Mimi. Bucks Fizz carries a fleece that not only demonstrates great density and high uniformity well into her extremities, but it is also very fine and bright, with a distinct lack of guard hair. The character displayed by her fleece is of a high frequency, high amplitude, highly defined, pretty crimp style. Another beautiful and elegant female, with the most endearing disposition! |

Willowbrook Tooty Frooty |
Description: |
A real favourite! Willowbrook Alpacas Tooty Frooty is a simply stunning, solid mid fawn daughter of Snowmass Sizlin Hot. Her fleece is very dense, but it is also very fine. Each staple is long, with a well defined, high frequency crimp style which extends right to the tip. Her fleece is also very uniform in all respects of colour, character, and fineness. These positive traits are not confined to her blanket, but continue well into her extremities. The brightness of her delightful golden coloured fleece, only adds to the beautiful soft handle. Combine this with her perfect compact conformation, lovely temperament, and very desirable head type, you can see why I am smitten!

Willowbrook Midnight Mystery |
Description: |
A beautiful and gentle female who performed very well in the show ring in 2014 as a junior. She has continued this success into 2015 and 2016 as an intermediate and adult. Her fleece is very fine, very bright, dense, and wonderfully organised into small pencil type staples. Midnight's dam was sired by Canchones Witness of Inca, and her sire is our outstanding male Snowmass Sizlin Hot. The proof of a male's success is in his progeny, and year after year, Sizlin Hot has not failed to impress at the largest and most competitive shows! Amongst his most recent progeny successes is 1st place Intermediate Black fleece, and Champion Black Fleece at the Royal Three Counties 2016, and 1st Intermediate Fawn Fleece at the Eastern Regional Fleece Show 2016, won by Willowbrook Tooty Frooty! |
